Vinyasa Yoga . Core Strength . Pilates . Angeline's Yoga @ Northpoint Residences

Recently I've been practicing Vinyasa Yoga taught by Edwin and Pilates taught by Evon, at Celebrity Fitness Mid Valley and it has improved my yoga practice to a whole new level. I did some yoga photos shoot down the lobby at garden area of my home, as an assessment or record. Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement", it covers a broad range of yoga classes.

Every Yogi must watch this..The Fuzz between Muscle Tissue and Fascia

“The fuzz” are strands of cobweb-like connective tissue that develop between the muscles and between muscle groups when we fail to move our bodies around in all the magnificent ways it can move. These strands of connective tissue multiply and bind together during long periods of inactivity (like when we sleep). As time passes the fascia thickens and hardens between those once juicy, smooth and slippery surfaces rendering them less and less able to slide and glide past one another. As the individual muscles lose their ability to move freely and independently of other muscles our movements become less multidimensional and refined. We call this ‘stiff’.

Yoga Moment @ Setia Alam

In yoga classes, inversions are the poses most people have problems with, so you're not alone. It requires balance, strength, and most of all the courages to be upside down. You will need to build a strong upper body, flexible hamstrings for allowing you to walk into the inversion and be brave enough to lift your feet away from the wall, try balancing on your own. My best advice is to keep practicing and don't give up, you'll be able to do it once you become stronger and more confident. Once you master that variation, you can move on to other inversions including headstand variations, forearm stand, and handstand. And if you have access to Yoga Moment Studio, taking classes and getting one-on-one help from instructor will help you master inversions even faster.
