I'm slowly moving into that role as an elder teacher, a role model for women at any age and I take pride in that. My practice also tunes me in to my physical, mental, and emotional states. It provides tools to respond effectively to what I perceive. Adjusting my practice to balance intensity, depth, and inner equilibrium, I guide my practice toward developing awareness of more subtle and internal actions and states.
I am grateful for my yoga practice and feels comfortable in my own skin

3rd Stage: Retirement, defines us in terms of what we have left behind instead of what lies ahead. Up through our late 50s and into our 60s, our energy has been mainly focused on tangible achievements: earning a degree, building a career, raising children, acquiring property, perhaps making a name for ourselves.

Change Your Life With Yoga No matter what stage of life you’re in, an ongoing yoga practice has a lot to offer for you. Physically, it can help to improve your strength, flexibility and balance, and to address specific problems, such as PMS, back pain, hot flashes and poor digestion. Yoga requires that you focus exclusively on the present moment, which can help clear your mind and bring you a sense of peace.
Yoga can become your companion for life, something that can sustain you when you’re well, shore you up when you’re depressed, and support you when you’re sick. Yoga teach you to love yourself from the inside out. Think of your yoga practice as a mirror to your soul, as a barometer by which to gauge your feelings, and as a prescription for healthy action. We can’t promise that yoga will fix all your physical, mental and spiritual ills, but if you make the commitment to a regular practice, we can promise that yoga will change your life.
